Carolina Angel Network (CAN)
Carolina Angel Network (CAN) brings together the UNC entrepreneurial community and the UNC alumni network to empower early stage new businesses that drive our future. CAN’s mission is to support the UNC startup community with funding and advice from experienced alumni members of the network. CAN is an angel investing platform for members and co-investment funds (Venture Capital Angel Multiplier Fund).
CAN, founded in 2016, is supported by the UNC Office of Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Economic Development, UNC Development Office, Kenan-Flagler Business School, the UNC Law School and Vice Chancellor of Finance Administration.
Small Business and Technology Development Center (SBTDC)
The Small Business and Technology Development Center (SBTDC) provides management counseling and educational services to small and mid-sized businesses. SBTDC at UNC Chapel Hill has helped local businesses grow and create jobs for more than three decades.
Most services are free of charge and all are confidential. By providing entrepreneurs with the tools they need to build and grow successful businesses, SBTDC positively impacts NC’s economy.
