At the Eship Center, we love to provide interactive learning opportunities and engaging content which help you gain and improve skills, connect to experts and resources, and connect to each other. Whether you are a founder working on a new venture idea, a business leader of a growing and scaling organization, an entrepreneurial ecosystem partner, or are just passionate about entrepreneurship, we welcome you to join these webinars and connect with our community.
This year we are making it a high priority to provide webinars and workshops specifically geared toward our community stakeholders, which include alums, business leaders interested in innovation, nonprofit leaders, startup founders, ecosystem partners, and government leaders.

Introducing Scale School
Last fall we launched our first set of Scale School courses designed to skill up leaders in scaling organizations, and the feedback from participants was tremendous. We recently spoke with two entrepreneurs and one of our instructors about why they’re excited about Scale School. They explain why support like this is needed for rapidly growing companies and what makes these courses so unique and tailored for scaling a company’s needs. Here’s what they have to say about Scale School in this short video.
Navigating the Great Pause Series
We created the Navigating the Great Pause (NTGP) weekly webinar series in April and May 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. NTGP provided information and resources for entrepreneurs and companies to help them navigate this unprecedented time tactically as well as emotionally.
The goal was to prepare our stakeholders to come out on the other end of this pandemic as prepared as they could be to hit the ground running and get back to a new state of normal. Topics included: marketing, self-care, PPE and other funding, leadership, and operations.
Luminary Talks Series
The Luminary Talk Series brought from across the country entrepreneurs, investors, and experts with direct ties and personal investment to the Triangle to provide insights and advice to our community of entrepreneurs, leaders, ecosystem partners, and policy makers to help navigate the uncertain times during the onset of the pandemic.
These chats with each luminary were held the last week of each month from June to August, 2020 and include authentic conversation about resilience and survival, and the onward journey about how to prepare for what may be next. Luminaries included: Alan Cline of Vista Equity Partners; Mary Grove of Google Startups; and Jessica McDonald of the Women’s National Soccer Team. Brought to life by a collaboration among organizations across the Triangle–American Underground, HQ Raleigh, and The Entrepreneurship Center at UNC Kenan-Flagler–this series was a cooperative effort to help our Triangle Community get through unprecedented times stronger together.
Fireside Chat Series
Fireside Chats are a continuing series of talks hosted by Launch Chapel Hill and the Eship Center. These are real talks with real entrepreneurs: the good, the bad and the ugly of their entrepreneurial journey thus far, not just the shiny success stories. These conversations seek to showcase a broad range of entrepreneurs who are making an impact in their field, as well as introduce and connect these people to the Launch Chapel Hill and Triangle community.
