Mitch Mumma

Professor of the Practice of Strategy and Entrepreneurship, UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School

Mitch Mumma teaches and advises on the entrepreneurship curriculum at UNC Kenan-Flagler.

He is a general partner for Intersouth Partners, an early-stage venture capital firm that invests in technology and life science companies across the Southeast. Founded in 1985, Intersouth manages $780 million in seven venture capital limited partnerships, making it the largest venture capital fund in North Carolina and one of the largest in the Southeast.

Mr. Mumma served as CFO of Dataflow Companies Inc. and as a senior manager at Touche Ross.

He is a director and former chairman of the Council for Entrepreneurial Development (CED), the largest entrepreneurial membership organization in the United States.

He received a BS in management science from Duke University.
